K. SRINIVASANI, K. G. KAUSALYA, A. J. PETER, S. CHELLIAH

Abstract

Tomato is one of the important vegetables  grown in about 82,000 ha in India (Anon, 1985).  A major constraint in the successful tomato  production is the incidence of fruit borer,  Helicoverpa armigera (Hubner) (Lepidoptera :  Noctuidae). Development of resistancein this pest  ie Synthetic insecticides is one of the reasons for  inadequate control (Srinivasan and Krishna  Meorihy, 1992).
